Ukraine exports 6.314 mln tonnes of grain in April 2024 - ministry

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Ukraine exported 41.365 million tonnes of grain and pulses from the start of the 2023-2024 marketing year (MY) to May 1, including 6.314 million tonnes in April 2024, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service for the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry and data from the State Customs Service.

Ukraine's grain and pulses exports as of May 1, 2023 stood at 41.595 million tonnes, including 3.619 million tonnes in April 2023, the agencies said.

As for individual crops, Ukraine exported 15.778 million tonnes of wheat from the start of the 2023-2024 MY to May 1, including 1.936 million tonnes in April, 2.202 million tonnes of barley, including 231,000 tonnes in April, 1,200 tonnes of rye, including 200 kilograms in April, and 22.906 million tonnes of corn, including 4,136 million tonnes in April.

Ukraine's total flour exports as of May 1, 2024 stood at 86,600 tonnes (including 7,400 tonnes in April), down from 127,700 tonnes recorded on May 1, 2023. Wheat flour exports from the start of the 2023-2024 MY to May 1 stood at 81,900 tonnes, including 6,800 tonnes in April 2024.
