Ukraine withdraws from CIS healthcare cooperation agreement

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved Kiev's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) healthcare cooperation agreement.

The government made the decision at a meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian media said, citing Government Representative to the Parliament Taras Melnichuk.

Due to a drastic change in circumstances, Ukraine has withdrawn from the healthcare cooperation agreement signed in Minsk, Belarus, on June 26, 1992, and protocols amending the agreement, media said.
