EU should help prepare accession path for Ukraine, Moldova - Macron

PARIS. April 25 (Interfax) - The European Union views Ukraine and Moldova as "part of the European family," French President Emmanuel Macron said, noting the need to support their reforms so that they can join the EU "when the time comes."

"It is up to us to ensure their European footing, to support the reforms preparing the path that exists only if it integrates the legal and political achievements of the community," Macron said in a report on EU issues at Sorbonne University in Paris on Thursday.
