Zelensky, Shmygal meet with UK Chancellor Hunt in Kiev

MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt met in Kiev to discuss, in particular, Ukraine's needs for energy equipment.

"Glad to welcome the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the UK Government Jeremy Hunt to Ukraine. I thanked the UK for its leadership in many aspects of support for our country. This, in particular, includes financial assistance," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on his social account on Thursday.

"We also discussed Ukraine's energy equipment needs. Gas turbines and mobile boiler rooms will help decentralize the system and make it less vulnerable," he said.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had also previously met with Hunt in Kiev.

"Thanks to the people, government, prime minister, and parliament of the United Kingdom for supporting Ukraine," Zelensky said on his social account.

"We highly value partnership between our states," he said.
