Ukrainian parliament committee recommends denouncing certain agreements with CIS, Russia, Belarus

MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Parliament Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation recommends denouncing a number of agreements, including those with Russia, Ukrainian media said, citing the parliament press service.

For instance, the committee recommends passing a bill that denounces the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the prevention and mitigation of industrial accidents, disasters and natural calamities signed in Moscow on April 23, 1997.

It also recommends passing a bill on Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement on the supply of goods for national hydro-meteorological services of members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) signed in Moscow on September 9, 1994.

It supports denouncing the Ukrainian-Belarusian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the prevention and mitigation of emergencies signed in Minsk on July 7, 2000.

Additionally, the committee voted for stopping the activity of the group for inter-parliamentary relations with Cuba.
