Ukrainian Rada increases State Border Service's numerical strength

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has voted in favor of increasing the State Border Service's personnel by 15,000 service members, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to parliamentarian Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The bill was supported by 327 lawmakers at Rada's plenary session on Wednesday, Zheleznyak said.

"Hence, the overall numerical strength of the State Border Service within a year after the termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine will reach up to 75,000 people, including up to 67,000 service members," Zheleznyak said.
