Sochi to host Russia-Africa forum's ministerial conference in Nov - Patrushev

ST. PETERSBURG. April 24 (Interfax) - Sochi will host a ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa partnership forum on November 11-12, 2024, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.

"Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large [Oleg] Ozerov will give a special briefing for our African colleagues in the morning of April 24 to address the implementation of decisions of the Second Russia-Africa Summit, preparations for a ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa partnership forum due in Sochi on November 11-12, and further development of Russian-African relations in general," Patrushev said at an international conference under the aegis of the Russian Security Council in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.

Delegations from 106 countries are taking part in the conference, he said.

Security Council secretaries, aides and national security advisors to heads of state, ministers and heads of security services lead the delegations, he said. Eight secretaries general and representatives of the leadership of international organizations are also present at the meeting, Patrushev said.
