Ukraine to secure extra 100 mln euros from Council of Europe for healthcare sector recovery

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government adopted a decision at its meeting on Tuesday, April 23, to secure an additional 100 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank to finance the restoration of Ukraine's healthcare infrastructure, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"Another decision adds 15 million euros from the European Investment Bank as part of financing the bank guarantee program. This will improve the conditions for receiving concessional loans by Ukrainian small and medium-sizes enterprises," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying in a statement circulated by the government's press service.

The European Commission has also supported the Ukraine Plan as part of the Ukraine Facility program. Kiev is expected to receive 1.5 billion euros this week under this EU program, Shmygal said.
