Aliyev calls for improving Armenia's relations with Turkey, Azerbaijan in parallel

BAKU. April 23 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan and Ankara and Yerevan should go in parallel.

"There is an established position in Azerbaijan and in Turkey that the two processes must go in parallel: the Turkish-Armenian rapprochement and Azerbaijani-Armenian normalization. This is our position and also this is a position of the Turkish president," Aliyev said at a meeting with participants of the COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan international forum organized at ADA University in Baku on Tuesday.

Baku and Ankara are actively cooperating on many issues, he said. "It's an important factor of the regional security and stability. I mean the Turkish-Azerbaijani unity," Aliyev added.
