Plant to manufacture NPP pipelines planned for construction in Nizhny Novgorod SEZ at 3.5 bln rubles

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. April 22 (Interfax) - Smart Pipeline Systems LLC (SPS LLC) plans to expand manufacturing industrial pipelines for nuclear power plants, and is seeking to construct a plant in the Kulibin special economic zone (SEZ), Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region.

"The amount of investment is 3.5 billion rubles. We plan to start production in 2026," SPS LLC CEO Mikhail Pervyshin said at a meeting with Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin and entrepreneurs.

Pervyshin said that the company expects to generate revenue of 13 billion rubles this year.

The regional development corporation told Interfax that a number of meetings have currently been held with SPS LLC on implementing a project to expand pipeline production, involving, among other matters, the identification of a site in the Kulibin SEZ for realizing the project. The company is preparing a package of documents for submitting an application to the SEZ expertise council.

"If the application is approved, then Smart Pipeline Systems LLC will become a resident of the special economic zone," the corporation said.

As reported, SPS LLC in 2021 in Nizhny Novgorod launched manufacturing medium- and low-pressure pipeline systems that are used in the nuclear and fuel industries.

Smart Pipeline Systems LLC manufactures pipeline systems for Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation, according to the company's website. SPS LLC generated revenue of 7.7 billion rubles and net profit of 1.4 billion rubles in 2023.
