Baku satisfied with how security issues in region addressed with Russia's involvement - Aliyev

MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - Baku is satisfied with how security issues in the South Caucasus area are handled with Russia's involvement, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

"Regional security issues are always on the agenda of our meetings, and we are happy about the way they are addressed. Russia is a pivotal country in terms of regional security in the Caucasus and in broader geographical terms, and a lot depends on interaction between our countries," Aliyev said.

"We are focused on building confidence, cooperation, and mutual understanding and on settling all issues in the spirit of interaction and mutual interests," Aliyev said.
