Red Wings to launch direct flight from Arkhangelsk to Minsk starting April 25

ST. PETERSBURG. April 22 (Interfax) - Red Wings Airlines will launch a regular direct flight from Arkhangelsk to Minsk starting April 25, the press service of the governor and government of the Arkhangelsk region said.

From April 25 through May 16, there will be one flight on the route every Thursday. Then, flights will take place once a week on Sundays from May 16 through October 20.

The airline will use SSJ 100 aircraft on the route.

There have been no direct flights between Arkhangelsk and Minsk in 30 years, the press service said. Red Wings made its first flight between the cities on April 21 with a delegation from the Arkhangelsk region headed by Governor Alexander Tsybulsky among the passengers traveling to the Belarusian capital.

Red Wings is based at Zhukovsky and Domodedovo airports (Moscow), Koltsovo (Ekaterinburg), Balandino (Chelyabinsk) and Makhachkala airports.
