Ukrainian State Border Guard Service releases border-crossing data

MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - The number of departures from Ukraine remained at the last week's level, 238,000, on April 13-19, while the number of arrivals slightly grew from 234,000 to 237,000, Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by the State Border Guard Service on a social network.

The number of cleared vehicles has grown from 116,000 to 123,000 over the week, owing to the end of blocking of certain checkpoints at the Polish border, and the number of cleared humanitarian trucks has slightly declined, from 718 to 706.

According to an update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the number of Ukrainian refugees in Europe stood at 5,93 million as of April 19, or 53,000 less than the month before, out of 6.472 million worldwide, or 14,000 less than last month.

The UN estimated the number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine at 3.689 million as of December 31, 2023.
