EU to consider ban on Russian LNG imports as part of 14th sanctions package - Swedish FM

BRUSSELS. April 22 (Interfax) - The European Union plans to consider a ban on Russian LNG imports as part of the 14th sanctions package, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom said.

"Adopting the 14th sanctions package is one of the most important things that we will see to it that we include the import ban on liquefied natural gas," Billstrom said before a meeting of the EU foreign ministers.

As reported, the EU Foreign Affairs Council will convene in Luxembourg on Monday to discuss military assistance to Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East and Sudan.
