Grain trader Viterra buys another elevator in Ukraine

MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee has given the green light for Netherlands-based Renaisco B.V. to acquire Vinnitsia elevator Penkovsky ZPK.

"Permission has been granted to Renaisco B.V. (Rotterdam) for the direct acquisition of an equity stake in Penkovsky ZPK LLC that will provide more than 50% of votes in the company's highest management body," Ukrainian media reported regulator as saying.

Renaisco is a division of international grain trader Viterra, formerly Glencore Agriculture. The company already controls at least 20 Ukrainian companies that specialize in grain storage and processing.

Penkovsky ZPK was registered in 2020 in Vinnitsia region, with its core business listed as wholesale trading of grain, unprocessed tobacco, seeds and animal feed.
