JYSK opens its sixth store in Ukraine's Odessa region

MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - The Danish furniture and home furnishings chain JYSK opened a new store in Yuzhny in Ukraine's Odessa region on Thursday, Ukrainian media reported, citing the company's press service.

The store is the first in Yuzhny and the sixth in the Odessa region.

"JYSK is increasing its investments in network development in Ukraine despite all risks," JYSK Country Manager in Ukraine Yevgeny Ivanitsa said.

The JYSK store occupies 1,033 square meters of retail space at the shopping mall. Like all new JYSK stores, it is built in line with the 3.0. concept, which provides for modern spot illumination, spacious design, customer-friendly zonal placement of product categories, spacious mattress studio, and so on, as well as an enlarged social zone and improved conditions for the staff.

Currently, the chain has 93 stores and the jysk.ua online store, and the company plans to reach 100 stores by the end of 2024. JYSK has over 800 employees in the country.

JYSK is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group with more than 3,300 stores in 48 countries. JYSK's revenue in the 2022-2023 fiscal year totaled 5.2 billion euros.
