Kazakhstan's industrial output grew 3.8% in Q1
ALMATY. April 18 (Interfax) - Industrial output in Kazakhstan grew 3.8% year-on-year in Q1 2024 to 11.524 trillion tenge, the National Statistics Agency's Strategic Planning and Reforms Bureau said.
Output grew by 1.9% in mineral extraction, including 0.3% in oil and gas production, 7.3% in metal ore extraction and 9.4% in mining services.
Manufacturing output rose 5.6% to 5.122 trillion tenge, 11.4% in chemicals, 4.3% in metallurgy, 24.9% in automobiles, 23.6% in metal goods excluding machinery and equipment and 100% for other finished goods.
Output rose 5.5% in the distribution of power, gas, steam, hot water supply and air conditioning a 2.7% increase in water utilities.
