Kazakhstan imports 500 mln cubic meters of Russian gas in Jan-March

ASTANA. April 18 (Interfax) - Russia supplied 500 million cubic meters of gas to Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2024, the Kazakh Energy Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

"Kazakhstan requests gas imports from Russia under an agreement between QazaqGaz and Gazprom whenever the domestic market needs gas amid consumption peaks of the winter season. Some 500 million cubic meters of gas were imported in January-March," the statement said.
