China may help restore peace in Ukraine - Zelensky

MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - China could help bring a just peace back to Ukraine and add stability to international relations, Ukrainian media cited President Vladimir Zelensky as saying in a video address on Tuesday evening.

"China can indeed help to restore a just peace for Ukraine and stability in international relations," Zelensky said.

Zelensky said he was particularly grateful to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz "for his leadership and international communication, including the signals that Ukraine heard from Scholz during his visit to China."

As reported, German Chancellor Scholz visited Beijing and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on April 16.
