IAEA monitoring mission at Zaporozhye NPP rotated

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 16 (Interfax) - A monitoring mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has undergone another rotation, the ZNPP said on Tuesday.

"There was another rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency monitoring mission at the Zaporozhye NPP today [...] As before, their duty is to monitor and assess the condition of the plant's operational and physical safety and security," the ZNPP said on Telegram.

The monitoring mission includes four specialists from Finland, Pakistan, and South Africa.

"We have developed constructive working relations with the IAEA over this time. The presence of experts at the ZNPP is a positive factor in maintaining the plant's safety and security, especially now, in light of the aggravation of the situation surrounding the plant by the enemy," ZNPP Director Yury Chernichuk said.

The IAEA has rotated its monitoring mission at the ZNPP for the 18th time since September 1, 2022. The monitoring mission's previous rotation took place on March 12.
