Ukraine and Slovakia to cooperate in geodesy, cartography, cadaster

MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Lyudmila Shemelinets and Slovak Ambassador in Kiev Marek Safin have signed a memorandum of understanding between Ukraine's State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadaster and the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadaster Authority of Slovakia.

"The memorandum focuses on sharing advanced experience and up-to-date knowledge in topographic, geodesic and cartographic matters, managing cadaster systems, activities related to national geospatial data infrastructure, land relations and land management, the functioning and development of geodesic networks, as well as the development of electronic geodesy, cartography and cadaster services," Ukrainian media outlets quoted the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service as saying in a statement on social media.

The memorandum was signed during joint consultations between the Ukrainian and Slovak governments held in Michalovce, Slovakia, on April 11, 2024.
