Russia becomes leading oats supplier to China in Jan-Feb, delivering nearly 43,000 tonnes - Agroexport

MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - Russia exported 42,700 tonnes of oats to China in January-February, which accounted for more than half of imports for this period, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing data from the State Technical University of China.

Australia, the leading seller in 2023, remains second.

In January-February, China imported 82,000 tonnes of oats, almost 1.5 times more than in the same period last year, the report said.

According to Rosstat, Russia will harvest 3.3 million tonnes of oats in 2023 compared with 4.5 million tonnes in 2022.
