Shah Deniz gas exports up 1.3% in Q1
BAKU. April 15 (Interfax) - Gas exports from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field rose 1.3% year-on-year in Q1 2024 to 5.582 billion cubic meters, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Interfax.
These exports accounted for 50.1% of all gas exported by trunk pipelines in the period.
Overall, Azerbaijan's trunk pipelines carried 11.134 bcm of gas in Q1, down 34% year-on-year.
Shah Deniz gas is currently exported to Georgia, Turkey and to six countries in Europe, specifically Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Serbia.
Shah Deniz exports grew 4.8% to 21.8 bcm in 2023.
