Ukrainian Railways restricts all rail transportation to Chernomorsk

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Railways has imposed conventional restrictions on rail transportation to the Chernomorsk-Port-Export and Chernomorsk-Port-CPS stations.

Ukrainian media said, citing the company website, the convention applied to all cargo for all consignees.

"It is prohibited to accept for transportation cars of the CTL-CIS and CTL-CIS-SUD categories, destination CFM (Moldovan Railway) and transit through CFM. Transportation of cars belonging to the inventory rolling stock of Russian Railways and Belarusian Railways, both own and rented," the website said.

The temporary restrictions will be in effect on April 11-13.

As reported, the rail lines to certain grain terminals of the Chernomorsk port were damaged in the Odessa region. Experts believe that may cut Ukrainian grain exports by the Black Sea to 5 million tonnes in April, versus 8 million tonnes planned.
