Russian, Kazakh PMs discuss measures to mitigate effects of spring floods in both countries' border areas by phone

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and his Kazakh counterpart Olzhas Bektenov have had a phone conversation.

"The prime ministers have paid special attention to joint measures to overcome the effects of floods in Russia's and Kazakhstan's border areas. They have agreed to strengthen coordination between Russian and Kazakh government agencies responding to the natural emergency situation," the Russian government's press service said on Tuesday.

"Mikhail Mishustin and Olzhas Bektenov have also discussed the current agenda of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and spoken for deeper integrated interaction between Russia and Kazakhstan in the Eurasian Economic Union," it said.
