Ukraine withdraws from agreements with Belarus on cooperation between border regions, interregional, border cooperation

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The government of Ukraine has terminated the agreements signed between the governments of Ukraine and Belarus on cooperation between border regions and interregional and border cooperation.

A relevant decision was made at a meeting of the government on Tuesday, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, Ukraine terminated the agreement signed between the government of Ukraine and the government of Belarus on cooperation between border regions in Kiev on May 12, 1997 and the agreement on interregional and border cooperation signed in Kiev on May 22, 2013.
