Ukraine withdraws from CIS agreements on cooperation in mechanical engineering, chemistry, petrochemical industry

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The government of Ukraine has endorsed Ukraine's withdrawal from two agreements on cooperation in machine engineering and chemistry and the petrochemical industry signed as part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

A relevant decision was made at a meeting of the government on Tuesday, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, Ukraine withdrew from the agreement on cooperation in machine engineering signed in Moscow on September 24, 1993, and the agreement on cooperation in chemistry and the petrochemical industry signed in Moscow on September 9, 1994.
