Ukraine exports over 36 mln tonnes of cargo via Black Sea route since Aug 2023 - minister

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - Over 36 million tonnes of cargo has been exported via the Black Sea shipping route unilaterally declared by Kiev since August 2023, Ukrainian Restoration Minister Alexander Kubrakov said.

"Over 36 million tonnes of cargo has been exported via the Ukrainian sea corridor since August 2023," Ukrainian media quoted Kubrakov as saying on social media.

As many as 1,286 vessels have passed via the sea corridor to export 25 million tonnes of agricultural produce to Asian, African, and European countries since August 2023. Another 135 vessels are expecting to enter Ukraine's Black Sea ports to export 4 million tonnes of cargo, he said.

As reported earlier, exports via the Ukrainian sea corridor over seven months amounted to 33.8 million tonnes.
