Almost 400 populated localities having blackout in Ukraine, hourly power outages continue in Kharkov region - Ukrenergo

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - Equipment of an Ukrenergo substation and two high-voltage power lines are damaged in the Dnepropetrovsk region, "yet there is no power outage," Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by the electricity network operator on a social media on Monday.

Additionally, a 330kV substation of Ukrenergo was de-energized in the east on April 7.

In all, there was no power supply to 398 populated localities, including those in the Nikolayev, Sumy and Kharkov regions, on Monday morning.

Ukrenergo reported hourly power outages in effect in the Kharkov region since 6 a.m. and consumption limits for industrial clients in the Krivoi Rog district of the Dnepropetrovsk region.

The operation of renewable energy facilities with a total capacity of 498 MW was limited in certain hours between 9:40 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. to balance the power grid.

On Monday evening, 667MW/h of electricity will be imported from Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with 317MW peaks in certain hours.

Exports to Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova are conducted in the daytime, when renewable energy facilities run at the top capacity, totaling 1,455MW/h with 388MW peaks in certain hours.
