CEO of leading Belarusian mobile provider MTS steps down

MINSK. April 8 (Interfax) - Vladislav Andreichenko has stepped down from his position as CEO of Mobile TeleSystems JLLC (MTS), the leading Belarusian mobile provider reported.

"The general meeting of shareholders approved Vladislav Andreichenko's decision to leave the position of general director," the company said in a statement on Friday.

"I made the decision to stop working in the position of general director of Mobile TeleSystems JLLC. Today is my last working day at MTS," Andreichenko was quoted as saying in the statement.

The company has not yet named a new general director.

Andreichenko officially assumed the position of CEO at Mobile TeleSystems JLLC on October 7, 2021. He joined MTS in March 2006 as deputy director of its Vitebsk branch, then served as director of the Mogilev branch and headed the Vitebsk branch from 2007 until his promotion to general director, the Belarusian company said on its website.

Mobile TeleSystems JLLC, which began commercial operations on June 27, 2002, is 51% owned by Beltelecom and 49% by leading Russian mobile provider MTS PJSC . The Belarusian company has about 5.7 million subscribers as of 2024.
