Russian Justice Ministry designates writer Veller as foreign agent

MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - The Russian Justice Ministry has put writer Mikhail Veller living abroad on the list of foreign agents, the ministry said.

"Mikhail Veller has been declaring his opposition to the special military operation in Ukraine and called for actions that may result in violating the Russian Federation's territorial integrity. He has spoken as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign media outlets and foreign agents and has taken part in creating messages and materials by foreign agents and distributing them among an unlimited number of individuals," the ministry said in a statement on its website on Friday.

Veller currently lives outside of Russia.

The Justice Ministry has also put Anastasia Tatulova, the founder of the AnderSon family cafe chain, on the foreign agent list. Tatulova has also left Russia.
