Kyrgyzteploenergo state enterprise reorganized, Kyrgyz heat supply facilities transferred to local government bodies' balance - decree
BISHKEK. April 5 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree reorganizing the Kyrgyzteploenergo state enterprise, under which heat supply facilities in the country are transferred to the balance of local government bodies.
"Japarov signed a decree on certain matters regarding the fuel and energy sector, under which the Kyrgyz government is instructed to reorganize the Kyrgyzteploenergo state enterprise under the Kyrgyz Energy Ministry by splitting and establishing state enterprises with the transfer of the relevant heat supply facilities to their balance sheets, for the subsequent transfer of the established state enterprises at the site of their operation to the municipal ownership of local government bodies," the Kyrgyz presidential press service said on Friday.
The Kyrgyz government has been instructed to transfer the heat supply facilities of the branches of the Electric Stations open joint-stock company, including the heat and power facilities in Bishkek and Osh and Bishkekteploset, to the mayor's offices of Bishkek and Osh by establishing municipal heat supply enterprises on their basis.
Under the decree, the Kyrgyz government is also instructed to take measures required to end the subsidizing of heat supply companies by 2028.
