Russia executes federal consolidated budget at deficit of 412.3 bln rubles in Jan-Feb - treasury dept

MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - Russia executed the federal consolidated budget at a deficit of 412.3 billion rubles in January-February 2024, according to preliminary estimates, as per materials on the website of the Federal Treasury.

The consolidated budget was executed at a deficit of nearly 6.133 trillion rubles in January-February 2023 for comparison.

Consolidated budget revenues totaled nearly 9.648 trillion rubles and expenditures totaled nearly 10.06 trillion rubles in January-February 2024.

Russia's federal budget deficit totaled nearly 1.13 trillion rubles in January-February.

The Finance Ministry previously preliminary estimated the deficit at 1.474 trillion rubles in January-February. The ministry has adjusted the figure owing to a downward revision of January budget expenditures to nearly 6.158 trillion rubles from 6.499 trillion rubles as per to the ministry's preliminary estimate.

Federal budget revenues totaled nearly 5.028 trillion rubles in January-February, according to the Treasury.

The consolidated budgets of Russia's constituent entities were executed at a surplus of 239.7 billion rubles in January-February, with regional budget revenues of nearly 2.911 trillion rubles and expenditures of nearly 2.671 trillion rubles.

The budgets of government extra-budgetary funds were executed at a surplus of 355.1 billion rubles in January-February. The funds' revenues totaled nearly 2.991 trillion rubles, and expenditures totaled nearly 2.636 trillion rubles.

The budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds for the period were executed at a surplus of 123.1 billion rubles, with revenues of 552.5 billion rubles and expenditures of 429.4 billion rubles.
