Kyrgyzstan, China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region sign number of documents at business forum

BISHKEK. April 3 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China have signed bilateral documents worth $1.1 billion, the Kyrgyz government's press service said on Wednesday.

"Bilateral documents amounting to over $1 billion were signed during the Kyrgyzstan-China (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region) business forum," the press service said.

The forum was attended by more than 50 major Chinese companies that are ready to implement joint projects between Kyrgyzstan and China, it said. Representatives of around 50 Kyrgyz companies operating in agriculture, medicine, education, digital development, industry, tourism and other sectors were also present.

Seven documents worth $1.151 billion in the energy and mining sectors were signed at the end of the business forum, the press service said.
