Demand for new passenger cars in Ukraine keeps growing in March - Ukravtoprom

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Initial registrations of new passenger cars in Ukraine soared 150% in March year-on-year up to 6,700, which is also 17.5% more than in February this year, Ukrainian media reported, citing information on social media from Ukravtoprom.

Toyota is still showing the best result of the month with a 58% increase to March 2023 up to 1,021 cars. Renault was ranked second with 955 cars (+118%), Skoda came in third (down from the fourth place in February) with 452 cars sold (+31%).

Volkswagen is ranked fourth with 444 cars (+3%), and BMW closes the top 5 in March with 381 cars (+7%).

The best-selling car of March, as well as a month earlier, on the Ukrainian market of new cars was a Renault Duster crossover, which was chosen by 920 buyers.

In total, 16,600 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine in the first quarter of this year, which is up 48% year-on-year.

As reported, citing the data of the Ukravtoprom association, initial registrations of new passenger cars in Ukraine in 2023 rose 60.6% year-on-year to almost 61,000 cars.
