Ukraine receives 100-mln euro loan from CEB under HOME project

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - The Administrative Council of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) at its meeting on March 25-26 approved the HOME project, under which it provided 100 million euros to Ukraine.

"The raised funds will be used to support the direct assistance mechanism, thanks to which final beneficiaries will receive compensation for housing in the form of certificates for its purchase. The project will be implemented throughout Ukraine," Ukrainian media quoted the Finance Ministry as saying on Wednesday.

"The project envisages compensation for more than 2,000 housing certificates, which will allow around 5,700 Ukrainians to receive compensation for housing," Deputy Finance Minister Olga Zykova said.

The use of the CEB loan funds under this project will be monitored by the Ukrainian Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure (the Ministry of Restoration).

As reported, Ukraine became the 43rd CEB member country in June 2023. Zykova was appointed Ukraine's representative in the CEB Administrative Council.
