Presidents of Russia, Republic of Congo reaffirm aspiration for further political, trade, economic, humanitarian cooperation - Kremlin
MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso has offered "deep condolences and expressed solidarity with the Russian Federation in connection with the barbaric terror attack on Crocus City Hall" in a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.
"The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the two presidents' meeting on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit in July last year. In particular, Denis Sassou Nguesso lauded the effective work of Russian epidemiologists who helped contain an outbreak of infectious diseases in the Republic of Congo," the press service said.
In light of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Republic of Congo observed this month, the sides "reaffirmed the mutual aspiration for further active bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields," it said.
