Ukrnafta boosting fuel imports to Ukraine in 2024

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - PJSC Ukrnafta has increased the amount of fuel imports to Ukraine from global producers since the beginning of the year, also expanding the geography of such shipments, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing information circulated by the company's press service on social media.

While in 2023 Ukrnafta imported fuel from the United States, Sweden, Poland and Greece, it also began receiving large wholesale supplies from Denmark, Slovakia and Turkey in 2024, the press service said.

"All fuel produced by major companies such as Orlen, HELLENiQ ENERGY, Marathon Petroleum Company and others has the required certificates and is guaranteed to maintain an engine's efficiency due to its optimal properties. We invite everyone to use Ukrnafta filling stations, and we guarantee that your car will be satisfied with our quality," it said.

Ukrnafta is Ukraine's largest oil producer and operator of the nationwide chain of 537 filling stations, 456 of which are currently operating. The company is implementing an all-round program of resuming its operations and updating the format of filling stations of its chain.

Naftogaz of Ukraine is Ukrnafta's largest shareholder with a stake of 50% plus one share. The Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief ruled on November 5, 2022 to expropriate Ukrnafta shares owned by private shareholders - that stake is now controlled by the Defense Ministry.
