Rosatom could construct factory to produce energy storage units in Bolivia - senior manager

SOCHI. March 26 (Interfax) - Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation could construct a factory to produce energy storage units in Bolivia, Rosatom First Deputy CEO Kirill Komarov said during a press conference at the Atomexpo 2024 forum.

"It should be possible to construct a factory for energy storage units if a consensus is reached," Komarov said.

Rosatom has been collaborating with Bolivia in other industries, with the parties in 2016 having signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in peaceful atoms and on cooperation to construct a center for nuclear research and technology.

Komarov said that construction of the center could be completed in 2024.
