Gazprom and Bishkek to discuss future gas supplies

SOCHI. March 25 (Interfax) - Gazprom plans this week to discuss future gas supplies with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan.

"Gazprom representatives are arriving the day after tomorrow. We will consider gas supplies from 500 million cubic meters per year and above for future years," Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Energy Minister Talaibek Baigaziyev told reporters on Monday on the sidelines of the Atom Expo 2024 forum.

However, the parties will not discuss matters on transiting gas to China, Baigaziyev said. "We are not considering gas transit to China," the deputy energy minister said.

Gazprom bought Kyrgyzgaz's assets in 2014. Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom and operates in Kyrgyzstan.
