Kiev expecting ferry line with Georgia to commence operation this spring

MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The Chernomorsk-Poti ferry line may commence operation in spring 2024, Ukrainian Deputy Restoration Minister Yury Vaskov said at the Exporters Summit in Kiev on Friday, as reported by Ukrainian media.

In his words, Ukraine has a number of ship owners and rail and road carriers ready for potential operation on the Chernomorsk-Georgia-Bulgaria-Turkey route.

"We are working in every area. I believe [the Chernomorsk-Poti line will start working] a bit later than container shipments begin. I think that may happen this spring," Vaskov said.
