Ukraine quits certain CIS agreements in construction field

MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved Kiev's withdrawal from a number of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) agreements in the construction field.

The government made the decision at a meeting on Friday, Ukrainian media said, quoting Government Representative in the Parliament Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, Ukraine has quit the Agreement on Cooperation in Construction signed in Moscow, Russia, on September 9, 1994, the Agreement on the Interstate Evaluation of Construction Projects of Mutual Interest to CIS Members signed in Saratov, Russia, on January 13, 1999, and the CIS Town Planning Charter signed in Minsk, Belarus, on June 4, 1999.
