Roscosmos to build multi-satellite constellation with support from private investment

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - Russia's Roscosmos state space corporation has concluded a trilateral agreement with two other companies to attract private investment for building a multi-satellite constellation of small communication satellites, Roscosmos said on Friday.

"Roscosmos First Deputy CEO Andrei Yelchaninov, Fifth Generation design bureau CEO Oleg Kus, and Gonets Satellite System CEO Pavel Cherenkov have signed a trilateral agreement on strategic partnership," it said.

The document outlines cooperation between the parties in building a constellation of small communication satellites and the ground-based infrastructure for them with the use of private investment, Roscosmos said.

The parties plan to formulate operator functions, arrange informational and analytical interaction, and organize the project's commercial implementation, it said.
