Turkmen delegation negotiates with int'l organizations on agricultural cooperation in Rome

ASHGABAT. March 22 (Interfax) - Turkmen Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow met with President of the International Fund of Agricultural Development (IFAD) Alvaro Lario in Rome, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

"The parties discussed actual development and the prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector between Turkmenistan and this organization," it said.

The Turkmen delegation also met with Deputy Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Mauricio Martina. The parties agreed to explore new avenues of cooperation in the agricultural sector, it said.
