FCS transfers 1.06 trln rubles to Russia's budget for Jan-Feb 2024 vs 782 bln rubles previous year

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Customs Service (FCS) transferred 1.06 billion rubles to the federal budget for January-February 2024, FCS acting director Ruslan Davydov told reporters.

FCS transferred 782 billion rubles to the federal budget for January-February 2023.

"Payments are going intensively, though not bad overall. We have exceeded 1.4 trillion rubles [in transfers] to date, and we are approaching 1.5 trillion rubles. I hope that we fulfill the plan for the quarter. We were slightly above [the plan] in January, and a little below in February, meaning that we are operating within the limits of acceptable operating fluctuations," Davydov said about the transfers for 2.5 months.

The FCS target for transfers to the federal budget is ambitious for 2024, exceeding 7 trillion rubles compared to 6.46 trillion rubles in 2023, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said previously at the FCS board meeting.

As reported, FCS transferred nearly 6.623 trillion rubles to the federal budget in 2023 against the planned target of 6.46 trillion rubles, which was 400.7 billion rubles, 6.4%, more than in 2022.
