CBR includes SPB Exchange in registry of DFA exchange operators

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has included the SPB Exchange in the registry of digital financial asset (DFA) exchange operators, the CBR said in a statement.

The SPB Exchange is the second organization to be put into the registry. The Moscow Exchange became the first in August 2023.

In June 2023, the CBR included the SPB Exchange in the registry of operators of information systems in which DFAs are issued.

"SPB Exchange has created a technological infrastructure that makes it possible to ensure interoperability in the digital rights market through interaction with other information system operators. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for DFA market participants to purchase digital rights issued in different information systems," the Exchange's Deputy Director of Trade Development and Accounting and Settlement Infrastructure for Digital Financial Markets and Decentralized Finance, Alexey Kucheryavenko, said.

The first issue of digital rights took place in January in the St. Petersburg Exchange information system, the acquisition of which provides the right to receive "green" certificates and services for further redemption or toward an alternative monetary claim. The issuer was Carbon Zero, the buyer was Sovcombank .
