Power Machines planning to open chain of 100 electric charging stations in Russia in 2024

ST. PETERSBURG. March 19 (Interfax) - JSC Power Machines wants to install 100 electric charging stations (ECS) for electric vehicles in Russia's regions in 2024, the company's press service said.

The power of the company's proprietary ECS designs are 50 and 150 kW.

Moreover, by mid-2024 the company plans to install 50 ECS stations in those regions with the largest number of electric vehicles: St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Moscow, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Vologda, Saratov, Rostov, Kemerovo, Tver, Kursk, Ryazan, Tyumen and Sverdlovsk regions, Krasnoyarsk, Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, as well as in Tatarstan. At the second stage of the project, expansion of the network to another 22 regions will be considered.

The company's pilot electric charging station was launched in St. Petersburg in December 2022. On average, five electric vehicles per day are serviced at the ECS, each taking about 50 minutes to charge.

Power Machines' mass production capacity for the various ECS modifications is up to 1,000 stations per year.

The Power Machines machine-building concern produces and supplies equipment for hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, as well as power plants with combined cycle gas technology.
