Moscow to analyze EU plans to impose duties on Russian grain - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - The European Union's plans to impose import duties on Russian grain should be scrutinized and conclusions should be drawn after that, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We have seen these reports. We need to analyze to what extent, and in what terms it will be implemented, if at all. Then, of course, we will draw some conclusions," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the relevant media reports.

On Tuesday, the Financial Times newspaper, citing informed sources, reported that the European Commission may impose a duty of 95 euros per tonne on grain imports from Russia and Belarus in the coming days. Apart from that, additional duties may be imposed on supplies of oilseeds and oilseed processed products.
