Automobile traffic via checkpoint on Ukrainian-Slovak border to be temporarily limited

MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - Automobile traffic via the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhgorod crossing on the border between Slovakia and Ukraine will be limited from March 19 to 21, Ukrainian media said, citing the Mukachevo.net news website, which cited Michalovce customs office spokesperson Jana Nimrichterova.

The restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MET on March 19-21, when one lane will be closed to vehicle traffic, Nimrichterova said.

The measure will affect trucks above all, as the checkpoint's weighing scales will undergo routine maintenance and checks on March 19-21, she said.

"When crossing the state border, truck drivers are advised to be more attentive and abide by temporary road signs and guidance from on-duty customs and police officers," Nimrichterova said.
