Moscow ready for dialogue on comprehensive arms control and with emphasis on issues directly affecting Russia's security interests - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to discuss issues of strategic stability with the United States only in a comprehensive manner and with an emphasis on Russia's security interests, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"Our position remains unchanged. We are ready to discuss security and stability issues only comprehensively and with an emphasis on those aspects that directly affect our country's security," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"Right now it is suggested that we conduct a dialogue solely on the U.S. conditions and only on those issues that interest Washington," the ministry said.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield earlier said the United States is ready for a bilateral dialogue with Russia and with China on arms control without preconditions.
